This is an 8-part (season) series (2020). When I saw 8 Parts, I mistakenly assumed it was eight episodes. I was in for a shock at the end of the first episode. The series is available on NetFlix. Each part has ten episodes, with an average of approximately 30 minutes per episode.
Synopsis on NetFlix
When Colt Bennett returns home from Canada to try out for a semi-pro Denver team, he learns that his family's ranch has fallen on hard times.

OVERALL SUMMARY - SPOILER
The Colorado ranch owned by Beau Bennett (played by Sam Elliott) is the backdrop of the series. Beau has two sons, Rooster (Danny Masterson) and Colt Bennett (Ashton Kutcher). Colt returns home after his career fails and, after years of not seeing his family, is compelled to decide to help out at the ranch. On the surface, it feels like Beau does not love his sons. His character portrays tough love, no hug - no-touch policy, no praise, and no emotion for most of the show. Even so, there were these rare moments where you got to see the other side of him. The ups and downs of their ranch life and their personal lives are what kept the series going.
TICKLED MY FANCY (HIGHLIGHTS)
Beau's character - Even though he had an invisible 'keep away from me' lettering embossed on his forehead, he played the part brilliantly. The cowboy accent and style were just perfect! His voice was enough to melt butter, and his sense of humour was incomparable.
Colt's character - Another favourite character in the series. He played the part of the pretty boy with a great sense of humour who was sometimes not-so-smart.
If you like light-hearted sitcoms, you will enjoy this series. It will make you laugh and cry at times.
You don't have to binge-watch the series. It's perfectly fine to spread it out over some time. I did that.
A WORD OF CAUTION (LOWLIGHTS)
I hoped that Rooster would return to the show. The family dynamic seemed incomplete without him. Also, the way he was written out of the show made his character look cowardly at the end. I feel the writers could have done a better job with that part of the story.
It was too long. I have said this numerous times that long series tend to bore me. Even though I did not do this in one sitting, I kept hoping it would end soon.
My overall rating is an 8 out of 10.
