OVERALL SUMMARY - SPOILER

I watched this series over the weekend and did not find much to discuss. The story is set in Mexico, where a small community gathers together for a little boy's birthday party, and here is where tragedy strikes. Initially, it is all about mourning and then the blame game starts. Murder creeps into the story with a revelation at the end of the series.

TICKLED MY FANCY (HIGHLIGHTS)

Sad to say, but the highlight was the idea of the tragedy. I say this because when the series started, I had some expectations of where the story would lead.

A WORD OF CAUTION (LOWLIGHTS)

The murder plot was weak and a waste of time, with a tragedy turning into a joke with haphazard investigation, coverups and murder. They even managed to write the 'Blessed Lady' into the movie. Don't get me wrong here; like most Mexicans, I am partial and love our Blessed Mother, but this part, too, was brought in very distastefully. It felt so made up. It was like watching a drama on a stage with children onstage playing their parts.

My overall rating is a 1 out of 10.
